How do I book my appointment?

You can book your appointment by any of the following methods:

• Online:  Use our convenient online Appointment Scheduler to book your appointment now!

• By Phone:  Call 2-1-1 Sacramento at (916) 498-1000 or by dialing 211, or call the tax site at the phone number listed in our Tax Site Locator or Contact Us page.

• In-Person:  Visit our tax site during its open day of the week.  We will accept walk-ins if space is available, or we will help you book an appointment for another date.

Important: If you need to have returns prepared for multiple years, please make a separate appointment for each year.

How will I know if my appointment was booked?

If you provided your email address when booking your appointment, a confirmation will be emailed to you immediately after you make the appointment.  If you don't see it in your Inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder.  You should also receive an email reminder a least a day before your appointment. Please take the time to read the emails since they contain important information about your scheduled appointment.

Tip:  You may receive a reminder phone call or text message from us 1-2 days before your appointment.

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please don't be a No-Show.  If you can't keep your appointment or you had your tax return elsewhere, please cancel or reschedule your appointment as early as possible to open your slot for someone else.  Call the tax site where you made the appointment, or use our online Appointment Scheduler.

Who do I call if I have questions about my appointment?

For questions regarding your appointment, please call or text the phone number of the tax sites where you booked your appointment.  Leave a message with your name, phone number, and a brief message. We will return your call in 1-2 days.

Please note we cannot provide information or assistance with appointments at other Tax-Aide locations outside our South Sacramento-Elk Grove-Rancho Cordova area.
