Tax-Aide of South Sacramento provides free tax assistance to anyone, with a focus on taxpayers who are age 50 years or older and have low to moderate income. This past tax season, our IRS-certified volunteers helped over 1,800 taxpayers at nine tax locations in South Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Rancho Cordova.

We will begin accepting online appointments for the 2026 tax filing season on January 15, 2026, so book mark this webpage then check back to schedule your appointment. We are also looking to add more tax locations to make our free service even more accessible and convenient.
Off-Season Assistance (Available until June 30, 2025)
If you filed your tax return at one of our Tax-Aide sites and there was a problem with your return, please contact us for assistance. For example:
Your return was never filed or filed completely.
There is an error on your return.
You received a letter from the IRS concerning your return.
You need to correct or amend your return.
